On August 28, 2019, the recently rebranded Luxinar, previously Rofin-Sinar UK (Kingston upon Hull, England), opened a new regional office near Hamburg, Germany.

The company rebrand took effect June 25, 2019, and marks a new chapter in Luxinar's 20-year history as a manufacturer of sealed carbon-dioxide (CO2) lasers for industrial processing and marking. The company operates from its purpose-built manufacturing facility in Kingston upon Hull, and currently employs over 180 peopleboth in the UK and overseas.

Regional General Manager Thorsten Föcking and his team will be responsible for sales and technical support for the sealed CO2 laser portfolio in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Benelux, as well as Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. In addition to sales and technical support, the German office offers demonstrations of local application capabilities to potential and existing customers, and a warehouse of strategic stock for exchange purposes throughout Europe.
