Laser plastic welding system
LPKF's LQ-Smart compact laser plastic welding system, first presented as a prototype at this year's LASYS event, offers the same welding performance as the company's LQ-Integration system at a smaller size.
LPKF, Tualatin, OR, has introduced the LQ-Smart compact laser plastic welding system, first presented as a prototype during LASYS 2012.
The LQ-Smart, derived from the LPKF LQ-Integration, offers the same dependable welding performance at a smaller size: 13 × 24 × 15 in. with a small cabinet size of 12 × 21 × 16 in, targeting production environments with limited space. It also can be used as a standalone system or integrated into an automated production line. The system includes a drawer for welding-parts as well as a quick-change upper clamping tool.
The system's transmission laser welding removes mechanical motion and minimizes thermal reaction, creating a flawless, reliable connection. Targeted industries include automotive, medical, consumer electronics, and food.
