Laser Research Optics, Providence, R.I., has made available a full line of CO2 molybdenum laser mirrors that are suited for low- and high-power lasers used in harsh industrial environments.

LRO's molybdenum mirrors are made from this intrinsically hard material that does not require coatings to achieve >98.1% average reflectance at 10.6 µm at 45° AOI, with <1.9% absorption and scatter. Designed for use in dirty industrial environments, molybdenum mirrors have no coatings that can degrade and are suitable for low- and high-power lasers.

Manufactured from pure vacuum ARC cast low carbon molybdenum, LRO molybdenum mirrors are offered in 1/4 inch to 1 inch dia. sizes for low power lasers and 1 inch to 3 inch dia. sizes for high power lasers, with thicknesses from 3 mm to 10 mm. Suitable for lasers from 20 watts to kilowatts in power, applications include laser engraving, marking, cutting, hole drilling, and welding.
