PRESS RELEASE

SCANLAB announces intelliSCANde® 30 for large area laser processing

SCANLAB has introduced the digital-encoder-based intelliSCANde® 30 scan system for exceptional performance over a large 2D processing area. The intelliSCANde® 30 is a completely digital scan head featuring a digital encoder for position feedback, iDRIVE-based digital control electronics and a 20-bit, SL2-100 control interface. An ideal choice for large area processing, the intelliSCANde® 30 has been designed for applications requiring exceptional precision and the smallest spot size over a very large working field.

For CO2 applications requiring the highest dynamical performance unforeseen in large aperture scan heads, the intelliSCANde® 30 is available with lightweight beryllium mirrors. The intelliSCANde® 30 can be combined with the digital encoder based varioSCANde® 40i forming an ultra-precise and fast 3-axis system for processing large areas and 3D structures.

The intelliSCANde® also available in 14, 20 and 25 mm apertures is mechanically and electrically fully compatible to SCANLAB’s existing large scan head series, making it ideal for all high-precision materials processing applications.

SCANLAB AG, Germany, is the worldwide leading and independent OEM-manufacturer of scan solutions for the deflection and positioning of laser beams in three dimensions. SCANLAB’s high-performance galvanometer scanners, scan heads and scan systems are used worldwide for industrial laser material processing, as well as in medical and biomedical technology.
