Coherent Inc., Santa Clara, CA, (Nasdaq: COHR) has added a higher-power versino of its Paladin line of lasers, designed for high-throughput laser direct imaging (LDI) and other advanced microelectronics applications.

The Paladin Advanced 355 24000 mode-locked, diode-pumped, solid-state laser delivers over 24 W (at 80 MHz) at 355 nm for high-throughput laser direct imaging and other advanced microelectronics applications. It provides a TEM00 beam (M²<1.2), beam pointing stability <20 μrad/°C, long-term power stability of <±2%, and noise <1% rms from 10 Hz to 2 MHz.
