Microprocessing lab opens at TRUMPF Inc.
Featured applications include laser drilling, cutting, and ablation.
Farmington, CT - In TRUMPF’s continuing commitment to its North American users, a new, fully equipped laser micromachining applications laboratory has opened at TRUMPF Inc. headquarters in Farmington.
With the new lab, the TruMicro team is able to demonstrate the latest laser microprocessing technology for its users, solve specific application requests, and support integration into users' production lines from the U.S.
"The new space and state-of-the-art equipment will enable us to provide the means for quick, flexible, and more accurate sample processing with focus on increased applications support for our North American manufacturing customers," says Sascha Weiler, program manager, micro processing at TRUMPF Inc.
The new lab is equipped with the latest technology in microprocessing, including the TruMicro Series 5000 and 7000 that are prepared to run infrared, green, and UV laser wavelengths for applications in laser drilling, cutting, ablation, and more. The lab also features a diagnostic station with a high resolution microscope, where TRUMPF's application engineers can analyze and document their feasibility tests, time studies and invent new solutions suited to users' individual applications.
