Laser micromachining systems maker Nanosystec doubles production area

Nanosystec, a laser micromachining systems specialist, will nearly double its production area beginning in August 2016.

The growing demands for systems that produce components for optical communication has caused nanosystec (Groß-Umstadt, Germany), a laser micromachining systems specialist, to nearly double its production area. The new area, which will be available in early August 2016, has allowed the company to also increase its personnel.

The company, which develops and builds customer-specific assembly and joining systems, owes its commercial success to two things. First, growing Internet traffic has consequently required a growing number of optical transmission paths, and use of available bandwidth requires more powerful components—producers of these components have trust in the company's reliable production systems. The second area in which the company has seen significant growth rates is in general laser-based, automated micro-production.
