Isotech Inc. announced the availability of a full line of cost effective, multi-use laser marking and cutting systems. Offered in two distinct configurations for either production line or desktop workstation use, all laser marking systems offer versatile, multiple-purpose functionality including annealing, ablating, etching, thermo-chemical reaction application, and engraving. Both the portable and full station configuration provide the flexibility to mark or prepare virtually any material including, but not limited to, anodized and non-anodized metals, glass, plastics, rubber and paper. For the application of custom product marking, both systems apply a permanent, color image with high contrast and crisp resolution, accomplished without the need for dyes, inks, chemicals, solvents and paper or plastic labels. This feature, coupled with the additional advantage of low energy consumption throughout the entire production process, makes them completely environmentally friendly.
According to the company, both the Full Laser Marking Station and Desktop Laser Marking System offer reliable, repeatable results in all applications and require no tooling, preparation masks, stamps, or plates required by conventional marking processes. The Desktop Laser Marking System can be mounted on any desktop or stable surface. Used for components of varying thickness (0 to 15mm), as well as flat and complex parts, there is never a break in the production process as the unit allows the marking of one item while the next item to be marked is being loaded simultaneously. This unit’s Smart Focus System software allows for a total image generation for focus control, producing more accurate imagery. An additional advantage is maximum image intensity control, a feature ideal when used on reflective or color absorbent materials or surfaces.
For higher throughput requirements, the modular designed Full Laser Marking Station affords precise, accurate marking of materials at a rate of up to 1,000 characters per second and can easily be integrated into production line applications.
