The 83xxK family of galvanometers from Cambridge Technology offers higher stability than the company's 62xx family, but not quite to the performance level of digital encoder galvos, and priced closer to the 62xx family. Demanding but cost-sensitive applications are a natural fit for the 83xxK. With a 40% reduction in dither and one-third the thermal drift of the 62xxH galvos, the 83xxK is ideal for applications such as PV scribing, wafer marking, precision machining, and more.
The first product in the family to be delivered is the 8330K, optimized for mirror apertures from 10mm to 15mm. Shipments will begin early Q2, 2010. Additional family members will be announced throughout 2010 to cover apertures from <5mm up through >75mm.
