Lens for precise 3D marking
Optotune has released a new version of its EL-10-30 series of lens that enables precise 3D marking with small spot sizes.
Dietikon, Switzerland - Optotune has released a new edition of its EL-10-30 series of electrically focused tunable lens for laser processing applications at 1064nm. This latest version enables precise 3D marking with small spot sizes. The main specifications are:
- Focal length tuning range: -600 mm to infinity to +400 mm (4 diopters)
- Wavefront error: <0.1 lambda RMS
- Damage threshold: 10 kW/cm2
- Response time: 2.5 ms (10-90% step)
If your working distance changes continuously, it is no problem because the EL-10-30 will refocus within milliseconds. Using Optotune's USB driver and a time-of-flight distance sensor, the system achieves a focus accuracy <1mm.
Demonstrations at the Laser World of Photonics in Munich, booth B2.445, from May 13 to 16, include a continuous focus camera with EL-10-30 and distance sensor.
