Wright Laser changes name to Vitaldyne
January 27--Wright Laser Inc. has changed its name to Vitaldyne Inc. and has expanded its medical device manufacturing services
January 27--Wright Laser Inc. announced that it has changed its name to Vitaldyne Inc. The Waverly, MN, company is a contract manufacturer specializing in the manufacture, assembly, and packaging of medical devices and components.
"The name change was made," according to Mariellyn Kuske, president, "to better reflect the company's future course and expanded range of manufacturing capabilities. When we started the company in 1999, we primarily provided laser processing services. Through the last five years, we have grown and added new capabilities to produce complete assemblies as well as package them in Class 10,000 cleanroom facilities. We now have ISO 9001:2000 certification and are an FDA approved supplier of components to leading medical device manufacturers."
Vitaldyne manufactures implantable devices used in orthopedic, cardiac, urological, and other surgical procedures. Components include parts for neurostimulation devices, spinal implants, medical instrumentation, and more.
With 10 precision laser processing systems, Vitaldyne also provides adhesive and solvent bonding, soldering, pad printing, and packaging. Laser services include precision hole drilling as small as 0.005 inch, welding, and ablation. Laser marking capabilities include micromarking to 0.005 inch, large-area Nd:YAG marking, serializing, and batch coding for part traceability.
Vitaldyne's manufacturing experience includes processing a wide range of difficult-to-process materials such as titanium, platinum, stainless steel, Inconel, Hastelloy, gold, and Iridium. Non-metallic materials include Teflon, PVC, acrylic, Delrin, PTFE, and others.
