Great Lakes Chapter--LIA meeting announced

March 13--The Laser Institute of America has announced the first formal meeting of the Great Lakes Chapter on Tuesday, April 11, 2006. The meeting will be hosted by TRUMPF Inc. Laser Technology Center. Steve Farmer of Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, IN, will speak on laser safety.

March 13--The Laser Institute of America has announced the first formal meeting of the Great Lakes Chapter on Tuesday, April 11, 2006. The meeting will be hosted by TRUMPF Inc. Laser Technology Center, 47711 Clipper Street, Plymouth Township, MI 48170. The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm, and Steve Farmer of Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, IN, will speak on laser safety.

The meeting is open to anyone interested in laser processing, and non-members of LIA are encouraged to attend to meet leaders in the laser industry. The Great Lakes Chapter of the Laser Institute of America includes not only the state of Michigan but also the supporting states of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and the province Ontario, Canada. The goal of the chapter is to create a unique opportunity to meet and network with individuals in the Great Lakes area and abroad, including end users, manufacturers of lasers and related products, safety officers, company presidents, and researchers.
