DILAS ups HB fibre-coupled module output to 800W
Mainz, Germany -- DILAS says it has broadened the output power of its tailored bar architecture (T-Bar) high-brightness diode laser module to 800 Watts (W), from a 200μm (NA 0.22) fiber at 976nm wavelength.
DILAS, Mainz, Germany, says it has broadened the output power of its tailored bar architecture (T-Bar) high-brightness diode laser module to 800 Watts (W), from a 200μm (NA 0.22) fiber at 976nm wavelength. (The company recently expanded its T-Bar diode laser modules to 200 Watts of output.)
DILAS' T-bar architecture is designed to achieve high-brightness output while maximizing fiber coupling efficiency, enabling an overall high efficiency product (power conversion efficiency is >45%). Automated active optics alignment can be utilized for efficient fiber coupling into a 200µm fiber. The device, a monolithic multi-emitter diode source, permits handling of multiple emitters during each manufacturing step to lower complexity and enhance reproducibility of the beam quality and fiber coupling.
The 800W diode laser module is based on spatial and polarization multiplexing of individual beamlets and is equipped with a high-power QBH fiber connector. The device is rated at 600W (976nm), for use in research and development (R&D) as well as commercial applications such as direct diode, and fiber and solid-state laser pumping.
