Ann Arbor, MI IMRA America will release its new femtosecond fiber laser, the FCPA (fiber chirped pulse amplification) µJewel D-20k, which is a Yb-based laser that offers 20 W of average power at a moderate pulse energy of 20 microJ. The 1 MHz pulse repetition rate enables a high material process speed where it is required. The laser is designed primarily for industrial machine integration backed by the field-proven robust FCPA µJewel technology, but can also be a reliable work horse in academic and research environments.
