Hartford, CT – The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology Inc. (CCAT) will hold the 7th Annual Symposium for Advanced Laser Applications (SALA) on June 7th, 2012 in Hartford, CT. This one day conference focuses on end-user and manufacturing applications and draws international experts. SALA 2012 will illustrate how laser applications in drilling, cutting, welding and surface treatment, and the implementation of those innovations in the manufacturing industry, provide manufacturers with a competitive edge. This event will educate OEM's and small manufacturing companies of new applications that have the potential to result in reaching, even exceeding, growth and revenue targets.
SALA 2012 will showcase and forecast the applications and economics that are driving the laser applications industry, such as laser drilling of turbine engine components. Expected attendees include professionals from across manufacturing sectors; aerospace & defense, medical, automotive, and telecommunications to name a few. Although their products are vastly different, the application of innovative laser technology is a proven method to achieving reduced costs, increased quality, and revenue goals.
Mark Jarvis, Director CCAT's Laser Applications Laboratory commented, "This year, we have taken the opportunity to build upon SALA's previous successes, and have restructured the conference format to concentrate on the importance of advanced laser applications to the manufacturing base."
