Sheet metalwork fabricator Malton Laser (Malton, North Yorkshire, England) used laser cutting to produce a series of components for door and access equipment specialist SG Technical Systems (Market Weighton, East Yorkshire, England) for an ambulance access ramp that was awarded a prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise in Innovation.
SG Technical Systems selected Malton Laser as the main supplier to produce the laser-cut parts for the company's EasyLoad wheelchair and stretcher ramp, which is used in ambulances across the UK.
SG Technical Systems was set up seven years ago and has been working with Malton Laser ever since. The company supplies doors, access equipment, and engineering systems to various automotive markets.
