Flatbed laser replaces CNC punching machine

June 23--A UK subcontract manufacturer is replacing an existing punching machine with a new TRUMPF L2510 flatbed laser resulting in 24 hours of minimally supervised work against a former 8 hours of manned production.

June 23--A UK subcontract manufacturer, Saint Ann's Sheet Metal Company, is replacing an existing punching machine with a new TRUMPF L2510 flatbed laser resulting in 24 hours of minimally supervised and lights out work against a former 8 hours of manned production.

The company is taking delivery of the system that appeared at MACH 2006.
