Hamilton, Ohio – During a 30 day period spanning April and May, more than100 users representing 40 companies converged on Salvagnini America’s North American headquarters to see the new L3 fiber laser cutter in action.

The L3 is reportedly the world’s first laser cutter specifically designed and built around fiber optic technology. Visitors were impressed as the L3 set new industry benchmarks for productivity.

The L3 displayed all of the properties of high speed, low energy consumption, low maintenance, low cost per part, small footprint, and reduced payback period of the original Salvagnini fiber lasers, combined with increased accuracy and reliability as a result of the L3’s sophisticated design and architecture. In addition, the new L3 displayed a new proprietary focusing head that features a single optic for high quality cutting across the entire range of thicknesses.

For more than 30 years, Salvagnini has served the global metalworking industry by designing, manufacturing, marketing and servicing flexible sheet metal processing systems, machines, process software and tooling for factory integration. Major product lines include punching and shearing, automatic panel bending and fiber laser cutting systems. And as the originator of automation in the sheet metal fabricating sector, Salvagnini offers complete material handling capabilities, including ASRS, robotic loading/unloading, conveying and parts manipulation.
