Laser Research Optics (Providence, RI) has introduced a line of CO2 laser optics optimized for 10.6µm that have uses in etching, marking, and thin metal cutting lasers. The lenses feature coatings with <0.2% total absorption values to keep them cooler, and the silicon turning mirrors have an enhanced DBMR coating to provide up to 99.6% reflectivity. Meeting ISO-10110 specifications for optical elements, the lenses are offered in 0.5–1.5in. diameter sizes with focal lengths from 1.0 to 25in. in 0.5in. increments. The silicon silver DBMR-coated turning mirrors come in 0.75–3.0in. diameter sizes from 2 to 10mm thick.
