Air Liquide, GNLaser establish joint lab focused on improving laser cutting

Sept. 27, 2019
Through this joint lab, the two companies aim to develop new solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of laser cutting.

Air Liquide (Paris, France) and Wuhan GNLaser Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (GNLaser; Shanghai, China) have established a laser innovation lab at Air Liquide's Shanghai Innovation Campus. Through this lab, the two companies aim to develop new solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of laser cutting.

With this partnership, Air Liquide will leverage its technical expertise to seek breakthrough gas solutions to push the limits of carbon steel plate cutting, raise laser cutting speed, and optimize gas consumption by testing on the latest models of laser equipment manufactured by GNLaser.

With over 100 years of experience in metal fabrication, Air Liquide provides gas solutions such as LASAL for laser cutting and welding, and a wide range of gas handling equipment, hardgoods, and safety products.
