GE (Boston, MA) and Concept Laser (Lichtenfels, Germany) have laid the foundation for a new facility in Lichtenfels in response to recent outstanding growth. When ready, the 3D Campus will unite research and development with production, service, and logistics.
The 3D Campus will provide around 40,000 square meters for about 500 employees. Its future machine production capacity will be 4X higher as well, making the facility a global GE center for producing 3D metal printing (also known as additive manufacturing) machines.
