TRUMPF enters agreement with A3DM Technologies

As part of the agreement, A3DM Technologies will have a TRUMPF laser system installed at its research facility in Burlington, VT.

TRUMPF (Farmington, CT) and A3DM Technologies (Burlington, VT) have entered a collaboration agreement to develop specialty metal powders and laser parameters. As part of the agreement, A3DM Technologies will have a TRUMPF TruPrint 1000 laser system installed at its research facility in Burlington.

With several parameters and cylinder sizes available, the TruPrint 1000 has utility in material and parameter development. It is a compact, high-precision powder bed system offering flexibility and robust performance that will allow A3DM the flexibility to perfect a broad range of materials while providing a stable path for their future needs in larger additive manufacturing production systems.

TRUMPF provides fabricating machinery and industrial lasers for flexible sheet metal processing, while A3DM Technologies provides for the development of optimized laser parameter strategies used in powder-bed additive manufacturing systems.
