Two PennWell editors, including Industrial Laser Solutions editor-in-chief David Belforte, will be keynote speakers at a UK-based event on June 19, 2008 called "The Laser & Photonics Marketplace 2008: Meet the Editors." Belforte and Laser Focus World editor-in-chief Stephen Anderson will join Arnold Mayer from Optech Consulting to give an interactive applications-orientated overview of the worldwide laser markets.

This event, sponsored by the Photonics Knowledge Transfer Network and the ICT Innovation Clubs for the West Midlands, will be located at Photonics Cluster (UK), Faraday Wharf, Aston Science Park, Birmingham. The event will run from 10 am to 3:30 pm and will include lunch and an exhibition and tour of Photonics Cluster's on-site laboratories.

Participants will also have the opportunity to challenge the editors to answer questions and discuss all aspects of the industry from market information, technologies in demand and high-growth opportunities.

The market information and analysis to be presented at this event is derived from the Laser Focus World Annual Review presented at Photonics West.

Optech Consulting completed a thorough analysis on photonics strengths, country by country, on behalf of the German Federation and subsequently Photonics 21.
