Job shop expands laser microprocessing capabilities
J P Sercel Associates (JPSA) has expanded and strengthened its job shop's microprocessing capabilities with new Class 10000 cleanroom facilities as well as a new IX-200 galvanometer-equipped laser materials processing workstation.
In making the announcement, Rick Slagle, sales and marketing director, said, "Our new cleanroom is essential for demanding medical and biomedical manufacturing applications, and will ensure the level of quality and contamination-free manufacturing that our customers expect, particularly with 193 and 248 nanometer wavelength processing."
Additionally, the company has brought online a new IX-200 galvo step and scan laser materials processing workstation that can operate at 266, 532, and 1064 nanometer laser wavelengths. "The galvo system expands the range of our materials processing capabilities. For example, this system is ideal for applications including glass marking, high-speed hole or via drilling, and high-speed precision cutting, among other applications." The job shop also offers expanded optics testing capability in the adjoining solid-state laboratory.
