August 31, 2007--The FiberTower XP CompactT laser marking system is available to U.S. customers for monthly rental through Laser Depot, a new division of Laser Photonics. Until now, the XP CompactT and other systems in the Fiber TowerT Series product line were only available for purchase through Laser Photonics.

The company explains that laser rental is appropriate for short-term projects and there are no long-term liabilities. Renting a system prior to purchsing can help expedite the decision-making process by allowing a risk-free trial without a major capital investment. Another benefit of trying before buying is that at any point during the rental period, clients can decide to buy and Laser Depot will apply 50 percent of rental payments toward the purchase of the system.
