It's a fun time for these movie enthusiasts, and making models of the classic space vehicles from the original films can be a great way to to share your enthusiasm with fellow fanatics. Laser cutting is perfect for replicating the complex surface details of the iconic space vehicles.

Just in time for May 4th—known to Star Wars fans as the day to say "May the fourth be with you"—a member of 3D printing design community Thingiverse has created a 3D model of the Millennium Falcon space vehicle using laser cutting. The technique enabled the user to replicate the complex surface details of the iconic space vehicle.
