Renishaw UK moves to larger site with R&D facilities

Stone, Staffordshire, England - The Additive Manufacturing Products Division (AMPD) of global engineering company Renishaw has relocated to a state-of-the art 90,000 sq ft facility on Stone Business Park, Brooms Road. The move reflects the expansion of the additive manufacturing industry around the world, as well as the company's commitment to the technology.

Renishaw is the UK's only manufacturer of metal additive manufacturing systems, and employs more than 3800 employees in its 70 offices across 32 countries.

"The new Renishaw site in Stone is about more than just additive manufacturing," says Renishaw AMPD marketing manager Robin Weston. "It will showcase the company's industry expertise in fields including industrial metrology, spatial laser measurement, and additive manufacturing.

Renishaw's new site will incorporate one of a network of global additive manufacturing solutions centers, where companies interested in the technology can trial additive manufacturing systems. It will also accommodate training facilities and lecture rooms, as well as a large research and development area.
