Fiber laser cutting system

LVD Group/LVD Strippit has introduced a high-speed fiber laser cutting system for fast, accurate processing of thin sheet metals promising up to 50% faster results vs. CO2 laser sources.

The Electra FL can process a variety of traditional sheet metal (12 mm mild steel, 6 mm stainless steel and aluminum) and other metals (3 mm copper, 4 mm brass) with a 1 μm wavelength laser beam delivered by a Rofin Sinar FL020 fiber laser. It has a 1500 × 3000 mm (5 × 10 ft.) work table area and a wall plug efficiency of up to 30%. The system also incorporates LVD's Touch-L touch screen control which incorporates a part programming and nesting feature to import parts directly, apply cutting, and next sheets at the machine. An integrated shuttle table system allows one table to be loaded while the machine is cutting on the other table; table change time is only 30 seconds; an optional compact material warehousing tower (CT-L) for loading and unloading has a shelving unit for storage of raw material and finished parts. Versions are now available in standard 2 kW and also 3 kW, with a 4 kW version "available at a later date."
