Motor Driven Polarization Dependent Loss Emulator - OEM

May 19, 2021
A low cost motor driven Polarization Dependent Loss Emulator. The device allows emulating a known polarization dependent loss (PDL) level for quantifying and studying polarization impairments and effects in a fiber-optic network.

OZ Optics Limited, a world leading supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks, introduces a low cost motor driven Polarization Dependent Loss Emulator. The device allows emulating a known polarization dependent loss (PDL) level for quantifying and studying polarization impairments and effects in a fiber-optic network. The device features high linear dynamic range, flat wavelength response over C&L bands, low insertion loss and low residual polarization mode dispersion. The unit comes in a compact package with built-in driver and calibrated table ready to be integrated into customer system via the enabled remote interface: RS232, IIC or SPI. Contact OZ Optics for further information on the device and its applications.
